Spiritual culture considers no difference between philosophy
and religion because as the saying goes, "To know Him is
to love Him." Knowing God is philosophy and loving Him
is religion. We can't know Him unless we love Him and we can't
love Him unless we know Him.
We all identify ourselves with our body and name. All the
successive Holy Gurus identified themselves with the Holy
Name of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The tenth Guru - Guru Gobind
Singh Ji ordained the Holy Body of Sri Guru Granth Sahib as
Living Sikh Guru.
Nanaksar - Place of worship
Food is the sustainer of life. We can't live without food.
We can't find a place where devotees had not gone for collecting,
begging for food from the people or their houses. Baba
Nand Singh Ji set forth a wonderful divine path, a unique
culture and tradition through love and worship of Eternal
Sri Guru Granth Sahib as living Guru Nanak. He followed what
is exactly written in Sri Guru Granth Sahib
"Saachaa Naam Mayraa Aadhaaro
Saach Naam Adhaar Mayraa
Jin Bhukhaa Sabb Gavaa-ee-aa"
..Guru Granth Sahib (917)
According to him, one can sustain on the sole support of
Naam (meditation). The Holy Place of Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj,
Nanaksar was the unique place where offering of money in any
form was not allowed. He always emphasized that true Sikh
need not to run after charities, money, gifts etc. This deviates
us from the path of our journey to the Lord. This place is
meant for Naam Simran, Kirtan - hailing glory of the Lord.
This is the place called "Nanaksar Bhakti Di Ghar".
He realized through his unlimited and unique love his master
Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He experienced in his life that Sri Guru
Nanak Sahib lives eternally. He responds and acknowledges
physically the loving offerings of the faithful, the believers
and the true devotees. With this spirit in mind, Nanaksar
serves meal to Sri Guru Granth Sahib five times a day believing
it to be the Guru Incarnate.
The whole being of Baba Nand Singh Ji was completely filled
with divine romance. His heart was full of the immortal Name
of the Lord the flow of which he could not keep up to him
as his lord ordained him to spread it throughout the universe.
He restored the highest respect, esteem, faith and loving
devotion for Sri Guru Granth Sahib. He carved out a unique
spiritual path.
The setting up of SachKhand in its pristine purity and glory,
totally free from all the impurities of this materialistic
world is being followed in Nanaksar Gurdwaras by his grace.
Baptization - Taking Amrit
The
human being always has a wavering mind depending on the senses.
He needs some help to conquer these trepidations. In trying
to fight the negative sentiments in an individual and society,
taking Amrit (Baptization) is an effort that helps in achieving
the objective of human life. This encourages practice of right
thoughts and right deeds in every aspect of life and makes
one bold and courageous to stand up to any challenge, tyranny
or injustices.
